Better Late Than Never

I'm so far behind in the blogging world, and I feel quite bad about it, I thought being back to a stay at home mom again, I'd have more time to take pictures, write blogs, and keep all my friends and family up to date on what's going on in our busy lives, but I seem to spend more time with the kids, and less time on the computer these days.  Even when I do have the time in the evenings, I'm just to tired, and want to relax, and enjoy time with my husband.  Excuses, excuses, I know.  I plan to devote today to writing a few blogs that have been stewing about in my mind.  Bare with me, if they are not in the order they should be.....I'm just happy to be back writing them again!

For this one, I have been scrolling through my pictures, and thought I'd just toss some (okay a lot) random pictures into this one!  Enjoy......

"Peak-a-boo people, it's me Sebastian!"

My dad made his granddaughter Katherine a kitchen, and ever since then the kids have enjoyed playing with and in it!

 "Hey Grandpa!!"

"Ello....."

and I thought only food and dishes could fit into a sink.......

the kids always make sure that Grandma and Grandpa have plenty to eat....

"Time to pay the bill Grandpa....."

 Smile!..........

Waiting for dad at the collision center, after he hit one on Santa's reindeer.....

Right after a bath, and just before bed, it's time to relax on the couch.....

Lunch date with mommy....

I had Sebastian dressed up for Halloween, and we were able to run errands, and grab a few extra treats!

Happy Birthday Sebastian

LOOK WHO'S 2!

New Room, When You're 2

Hard to believe that a few years ago, Saffron started off at Brighter Beginnings in the 2yr old room with a teacher named Rhonda.  Now today marks another milestone in my kids lives, Sebastian now takes his turn.  Kind of made me cry as he hung up his coat on the hook in his new classroom.  Soon (when he turns 3) he will join his sister, but for now he gets to meet a whole new line of playmates!

"Look out world here I come!"

Normally after we drop Saffron off, we walk into the infant/toddler room, Sebastian was wondering why we were staying in this room.  Took him awhile before he warmed up and played.  The 2,3,4, and 5yr old's all stay in this room till after breakfast, then off into their own rooms.

Piper taking care of Sebastian, telling him it's okay to go and play.

"Not sure about this mommie.....where are the kids that are supposed to be smaller than me?"

Saffron's friends....when a new child enters, they all collect by the door to greet them.

"Look ma, my zoom zoom's......"

"NO MA, no more pictures, you are embarrassing me..."

The kids are able to bring in comfort toys, today Evan brought in a cool new toy, and all the kids take turns playing with it.

"Don't cry mom, I will be just fine!"

When I ask Saffron who her boyfriend is, she always smiles, just like this, and replies "It's Evan!"

Saffron was sad today, but Sebastian was ready to go.

Welcome to the wonderful world of school Sebastian.  I hope your 1st day of school is a good one.
Love you so much.....

Halloween Past

A blog is a blog, no matter when it's written.....
better late than never........

This year I decided I would take the kids on their Trick-or-Treating adventure.  It was so funny to see little Sebastian running at times faster then Saffron to the house to grab his little treasures in his new basket (thanks to the Super G's).  Kids had a blast!  We only made it once around the block, that was enough for the both of them.

"Hey Saffron, you are not Charlie Brown, no rocks, candy!"

"Come on Saffron, we get daddies leftovers, lets go onto a new house!"

One of Saffron's most favorite stops......her teacher Ms. Carrie

Hope everyone had a very Happy Halloween!

I'm BACK!

Well, I never really went anywhere, I have just been so busy with work and the kids, that my little family blog has gone untouched.  Many things have happened since I last posted in my blog way back in September (wow that seems so long ago)

In the last blog, we had taken a family trip to the zoo, in my mini vacation from work, there the deli was moving from Evansville to Oregon.  I was not sure what to expect when I went back to work, the next day.  I guess I would have hoped the business would be better, than in was in Evansville.  My schedules were always iffy, with no guarentee in hours, but I still was paying day care the same rate for two kids, making it impossible to ever come out ahead in pay.  Even so with me going back to work, nothing seemed to change.  Business was the same, the pay was the same, and I was driving 30more miles a day just to get to work.  It was not an easy decision to make, but, I ended up putting in a 6wk notice at work (6wks cause I knew it would take time to hire, and train a new person, yes I'm very kind in that, I only had to give two) it was not an easy decision to make, but we knew it would be best for our family, if I stayed home with the kids from now on.

So here it is, 3wks since I left the deli, and my new adventures can begin!

I guess I never realized how much I missed staying at home with the kids.  It's only been 3wks but it seems like it's been longer than that.  Makes me smile, really it does!  I hope now, with all this new free time, I'm able to keep up with family blog again, because I really enjoy keeping you all posted on our busy lives!

Stay tuned................
