Wordy Wednesday

Sebastian's 1st Hair Cut
3/28/2012

Our dear friend Catherine came over once again to cut Saffron's hair, and before she let she gave Sebastian his 1st hair cut as well. I know very well, as did Catherine, that Saffron did not cry at her first cut, not like Sebastian acted today. I love having her come to cut the kids hair, I think the home environment makes it a little easier, not only for me, but the kids as well!

Saffron enjoying a snack while Catherine prepared her tools!

(come on ma.....not more pictures...)

It was so long when it was brushed out straight

"Brrrrrrrr Catherine, that's cold...."

Notice the little stinker face Sebastian is making....don't think he's very thrilled about this....little does he know he's next!

"What did you just say ma....ut ah.....no way!"

Saffron was trying to inspect all the hair on the ground..

Some of the many Saffy curls that laid on the ground....

She has more little defined curls now that it's shorter! I really think it will be nice and cool for her this Summer!

These next few were taken after her bath, sorry she did not want to sit still and show off her new hair cut.

"If you want to see more of it, come over and visit!"
"I'll be waiting!!!"

Okay these next few are pretty graphic....get tissue if you need to....
you can make your own captions....
I had to live it....

(comfort food!)

"A little less hairy, and just as handsome as ever!"

Happy Wednesday!

Hair's the Love

So, if you ask those people around me (especially my mom and my hubby), I have been talking about getting my hair cut for quite sometime now. I have been growing it out since early March of 2009, which I had it cut to much shorter than I had it cut today. I kept telling myself inside if I did cut it, I'd want to make it worth the time and effort it took to grow it, by donating all that was cut off. In order to do that, you'd have to have 10 good/clean inches of hair. I had Derek keep tabs for me, by measuring my hair every now and again, just to see where I was at. I paid a visit this weekend to share sometime with my parents, and made the appointment on the way down. I kept telling myself I was not going to chicken out this time by canceling the appointment, or just talk about getting it done. Although I do miss it long, I have no regrets, I did a wonderful act today, and gave some person the gift of hair.

(more pics on my FB page!)

You really don't notice how long your hair is, until you see it on camera

Kay (my stylist) was kind enough to take pics for me
Bye, bye hair.....

Directly after the braid comes off......

My 12inch hair donation

After final cut and style.....

I came home and colored my hair, I had to have a new color with the new me..

I love the new look, and I can't wait to donate my hair again!

A Year in Review.....

Okay,
Not really.......
But, it does seem like forever since I have posted a blog.

My new job at the Piggly Wiggly has taken up all my free time, and the other time is spent with the family. I will try and cram as many things into this post as I can.

(so please bare with me!)

Our big Snow fall on 2/24/12

all hopped out, and ready for a long Winter's nap.......

Eating a peanut better sandwich....
He did well....

My soon to be 14 month old son

(so hard to believe we just celebrated him turning 1 in January!)

He loves to sit still and pose for the camera!

One of my Wordless Wednesday's........

What Tina does when we are not home.....

At least she can see out the front window....

How Snoopy spends the day........

The flower center piece Saffron made.....

Sick kids.......
1st Sebastian

This was taken from Tanya's office....
(to those that know Sebastian, he does not like to be held, unless he's really, really, really sick.......)

We ended up going to the Dr two times last week. His temperate reached up to 104.4

He barley ate anything the week I was home with him, made me very sad considering he eats everything that is put in front of him.

"I feel yucky, but I will give you a little smile!"

We made sure to keep daddy informed on how Sebastian was doing...

"I can just hear them laughing now mom, my hair is a mess..."

2nd Saffron

I knew it would happen....one kid gets sick, then the other....

we thought she had gotten better, then today she came home with another fever. Guess we will see if she's better by this weekend.....

Another Wordless Wednesday....

First dish of ice cream....

(I think.......)

He had all his Nuks and bottle, and was trying to carry them all at once.

My final picture for the Blog,

Friends till the last drop!
