Plant a Seed and Oh How it Grows

It's amazing how nature really does take it course....
things tend to grow with little help from humans, aside from maybe keeping it safe from harm.
I had a chance to visit my 1st Redwood forest ever on our honeymoon this year.  One of the 1st few non-wine tasting days, Derek and I visited Armstrong Redwood Reserve in Guerneville, CA.  I was in such amazement over the size of some of the trees there.....

So amazing the number of trees that looked like this, whether it was struck by lightening, or survived a forest fire, they still stand tall......

This tree was hollowed out at the bottom.....and just as tall as ever....

My husband is tall compared to me, but not as tall as this tree.....

A tree right on the walking path, each side held a very tall tree.

What a small tree you have here.....

er......Maybe not......

After walking a few miles....we decided to take a break and look at all the crooked trees.....

This bridge amazed me.....if you look close, you can see the original made one underneath.

Finally a Redwood just our size!!

These very large and old trees were next to the bathrooms......

Our very own family tree..... :)

A tree completely hollowed out (I was inside standing up and took this from the inside)

A very neat and very, very, very, very (okay you get the idea) old tree....

Derek and I straining to see the top.....

A very nice romantic end to a wonderful day.....
