10 Months and Growing

I knew the time was coming,
and now the time has passed.

My son, my last little baby, has hit 10 months.
WOW! I keep trying to think back the few days before I had him.
Does not seem all that long ago, and as I look forward he will be 1yr in only a few short holiday months!

So many things have changed since my last post. He's not only full-on walking, he almost appears at some points to be running. Quite funny to see, and as he falls down, he gets right back up again. His appetite is still as strong as ever. There is nothing he won't eat (0r try) these days. He's over 20lbs, so he will have no problem tripling his birth weight by the time he is one. He now has about 5-6 teeth coming in all at once on his top gums, and while I'm sure it hurts like heck, it does not seem to bother him all that much, which is good for me. He's been sleeping really good throughout the nights, sometimes only waking up once. Sebastian loves his sister, and loves to try and keep up with her. Saffron tends to get annoyed when he gets in her way, and pushes him over. I guess I imagine my sister Jannel and I were the same way (sorry mom for all we put you through)

I know the months and days will really go by fast now, I just have to be sure to capture it all on camera!

One of the many teeth that are coming in.....

Sebastian enjoying feeding himself

Always fun sharing time with Great Grandma

Sebastian practicing his pouting skills
He's quite good at it.....

My shopping buddy....

Won't be too many more nice days like this, next post at 11months should have snow on the ground....

Happy 10months Sebastian,
I love you so much...
and as always,
Happy Growing!

Countdown Begins

I made the mistake just after Halloween in telling Saffron that Santa will be here soon.

"Be Good Saffron Santa is watching!"
"Go potty Saffron, Santa will be happy!"
"Don't push Sebastian around, Santa will be upset!"
"Oh, you're bad, now Santa will bring you coal!"
Santa this and Santa that.....
I tried to remedy the situation by saying, Santa will come when it snows.
Well, that did no good, because we already had our first snow fall....
sigh.....

Now at school they are teaching the days of the week!
What a perfect time to teach the days with numbers as well...
Solution?
A chain to countdown to when Santa comes!!!
Saffron was so excited to be able to help with the project. She helped to decorate the slips of paper, and helped to to number them as well. We removed the first one right before her nap. I hope us making this chain she won't ask everyday

"Mom, when IS Santa coming???"

"Not soon enough!!!"

"Mom, I don't think taking off one, will make any difference...there are still one to many to go....."
The chain runs from the top of the ceiling down to the outlet. I just hope Miss Saffron does not sneak of chains in the middle of the night....

"Soon mommie....soon......!"

Lost

Normally when I go grocery shopping, I stick Saffron into the cart, because I can go faster than if she walked along side the cart. I made a trip to Walmart this morning to get a few things we needed for dinner. Saffron did quite well untill we hit the baby isle. One minute she was there, the next minute she was gone. I hollered to her, and she said in a tiny voice "Here I am mommie, I'm hiding." I could not find her anywhere, and it scared me to think she may be an isle over. I told her I had no clue where she was, and she'd better come by me, and low and behold, out she pops. I think I need to find one of those toddler leashes, and hope to keep her very close.

She was right next to me, but hiding behind the diaper boxes. Good hiding spot if you ask me!

Out With the Old in With the New

"Yeah! New Toys!"

Not sure why, maybe I had the extra energy, but I decided I would rotate the kids toys today. I took the kitchen things back downstairs, and with Saffron's advice we brought up all the Little People sets. I also managed to move the Little Cottage into place and set up the toy room, I'll take pictures of that for another post. I guess I never realized how small the toy room got after that, but at least this way, we have a nice area to play in this winter! Here are some pictures I took today, of the toys we brought up!

At first the kids played well alone, till Sebastian thought it was time to torment his sister!

"Back off Tina, I think I know how this thing works!"

Saffron really loves this little house her Auntie Jannel gave her, it comes complete with a mom, dad, a Saffron, a Sebastian, a Grandma, and a Grandpa. She loves to have her Grandparents drive up in a blue car, and visit them!

Saffron's amazing bumper to bumper train of all her Little People vehicles....

and here comes Mr. Destruction

Grandma looking out the window and making sure the grand kids are well behaved......

"It's okay Grandma no need to come outside....Sebastian and I are doing fine!"

"Bye for now, Saffron's going inside for a nap!"
