I made the mistake just after Halloween in telling Saffron that Santa will be here soon.
"Be Good Saffron Santa is watching!"
"Go potty Saffron, Santa will be happy!"
"Don't push Sebastian around, Santa will be upset!"
"Oh, you're bad, now Santa will bring you coal!"
Santa this and Santa that.....
I tried to remedy the situation by saying, Santa will come when it snows.
Well, that did no good, because we already had our first snow fall....
sigh.....
Now at school they are teaching the days of the week!
What a perfect time to teach the days with numbers as well...
Solution?
A chain to countdown to when Santa comes!!!
Saffron was so excited to be able to help with the project. She helped to decorate the slips of paper, and helped to to number them as well. We removed the first one right before her nap. I hope us making this chain she won't ask everyday
"Mom, when IS Santa coming???"
"Not soon enough!!!"

"Mom, I don't think taking off one, will make any difference...there are still one to many to go....."
The chain runs from the top of the ceiling down to the outlet. I just hope Miss Saffron does not sneak of chains in the middle of the night....
"Soon mommie....soon......!"
